Forth lab test of "Black Sesame Seed Butter"

For today's class, we decided to make butter rice and also chicken stew using our Black Sesame Seed Butter. Like always, the butter is made following the previous classes before.

Ingredients & Utensils

1) 2tbs Salt
2) 2 1/2 tbs Black Sesame Seed (Blended)
3) 1liter Milk
4) Ice Water

a) Greased paper
b) Baking tray
c) Clean cloth (optional)

Prepare all the ingredients before starting making the butter.

Beat the all the ingredients together with ice water and strain the water dry until the butter solidify and clean.

Placed it in a cake mold and placed it in the chiller so that the butter stays solid and doesn't melt.
Butter is now ready to be use.

Black Sesame Buttered Rice


Ingredients

4cups : Uncooked Rice (washed clean)
2nos : garlic (chopped)
60gm : Black Sesame Seed Butter
1cube : Chicken Stock
Salt as needed
5cup : Water
1tbs: Black Sesame Seed



Prepare all the ingredients like the picture above.
Preheat the butter in a small pot.
Bring to saute the garlic until golden brown
Add rice and saute it for 20 seconds
Add chicken stock,salt and saute it till it is mixed evenly.
Add water, stir it a little and leave it to boil till it is fully cooked.
End results of the rice

Color : light grey
Flavor : salty and buttery.
Odor : Aromatic with a hench of a buttery smell.
Texture : Soft.

Miss Nina told us that the rice needs more black sesame.
Because the rice is lack of the black sesame taste.

Chicken Stew


Ingredients

1inch : Ginger (sliced)
3nos : Chicken Breast (cube)
1/2nos : Onion(chopped)
3tbs : Coriander Powder
2nos : Celery (cut 4)
1tsp : Garlic (chopped)
1tsp : Salt
4tbs : Black Pepper
1tbs : Vegetable Oil
1/4cup : Brown Sugar
1cup : Water
2cup : Low Fat Milk
2tbs : Black Sesame Seed Butter
1tb : Black Sesame Seed
2nos : Carrot (cube)
2nos : Onions (wedges)
3tbs : Paprika Powder.

Prepare all the ingredients like the picture above.
Start with seasoning the chicken breast first.
Add Coriander Powder.
Chopped garlic, salt and pepper
Mix it well and put it aside for it to absorb the seasoning for at least 30minutes.
Prepare the rest of the ingredients to make the gravy.
Melt Black Sesame Seed Butter and Vegetable Oil in a pot.
Add brown sugar and leave it to melt together with the butter and oil.
Add chicken breast and carrot.
Stir it continuously and leave it to cook for 2minutes.
Add in celery,water, milk, soy sauce, onions. Lastly add salt and pepper for taste.
Serve the chicken stew with Black Sesame Seed Butter Rice.

End results of the rice

Color : light pale brown
Flavor : salty and buttery.
Odor : Aromatic
Texture : Thick Sauce
